Cases triable by Special Judges — An offence under P.C. Act can be committed either by public servant or private person or combination of both — In view of mandate of Section 4(1) r/w Section 3(1) of P.C. Act, such offences can be tried only by Special Judge. [I (2014) CCR 419 (SC)] I (2014) CCR 214— Illegal gratification — Mere recovery of currency notes itself does not constitute offence under the Act, unless it is proved beyond all reasonable doubt that accused voluntarily accepted money knowing it to be bribe. -DLT
