Casino Royale... Best Bond ever? Its up there without a doubt. Excellent film- wonderful character development! Bond was just fantastic- Daniel Craigs Bond was RELENTLESS! He was like a hound in those chase scenes. Bond was this physical dominant force, completely believable- the blunt instrument. He was like a cockroach, they spiked his drink and he came back for more with a sense of humour. They tried to torture him and he laughed at them. The opening gun barrel scene was fab- Bond already a well adjusted killer, achieving 00 rank- Yes, considerably. Behind the cold unfeeling exterior there was a glimmer of a real man- someone sensitive and loving- almost exposed... What a character- what a man! Havent seen Bond THIS good since From Russia With Love. Title sequence was original and not just a rehash of old styles... Lets be honest most Bonds post Goldfinger, just copy that kind of title sequence. 5 stars. Makes other Bond films seem illegitimate.
