Cassie and Snickerdoodle are 10 weeks old now and need homes. They grew up with children so would be perfect for a home with medium to large kids that could help with their special feeding needs. They were born with a slight birth defect that will require that they are fed their meals carefully. Otherwise they should live happy and healthy lives. Their brother, now known as Jaster, has already been adopted by second generation Chinook owner Stian Myraas and his partner Sami, along with their Dalmatian pup Totter. (Many of you met Stian, Sami, and Totter at the picnic this summer.) Cassie is being fostered by one of the trainers who works with Carie Taylor at the Academy of Canine Behavior since this is the age where pups should be separated from their littermates. Cameron tells me that she loves to cuddle and he is starting her out on basic commands. Snickerdoodle is here at the Slug Ranch with me and her cousins. She fooled me the first day into thinking she was shy but once she had a night to sleep it off I discovered she was quite lively and she is very capable of keeping up with Toketie whos a month older than her. She loves to follow me around and worships big ol Taga who is very patient with her and even was gracious enough to give up a fresh yogurt carton to her. Thats pretty nice for the head dog to do for a pipsqueak baby! Contact me for more information at [email protected]. I would like to have them stay in the Northwest so I can help out with their care when needed -- taking them in when you travel instead of their going to a kennel or staying with a house-sitter and such -- so preference is given to people in the northwest states and BC or Alberta.
