Casting MIP ACTRA short film titled Case Claused. Its a film noir detective story about a young boy on Christmas Eve who suspects his dad may be Santa and has one last night to crack the case. JAY/DETECTIVE (Lead). Male (6-12 years old). Jay is a good student, he loves math and science, hes not particularly popular at school but he gets along fine with other kids. Keeps to himself. He is smart, curious, and determined. Open Ethnicity. MOM (Large Principal). Female (30-40 years old) Jays mother is the prototypical mom - caring, kind, and invested in doing whats best for Jay. Open Ethnicity. DAD (Principal). Male (35-45 years old) Caucasian, beard, not thin. The prototypical father, kind, loving, assertive, but somewhat distant. Spends a lot of time with Jay, doesnt talk a whole lot, but always ready to listen. NICK/SANTA (Principal). Male (40-60 years old) Caucasian. Salt and pepper hair, long beard. Jovial and down-to-earth, Nick is a close friend of Jays parents. A younger, more urban Santa Clause look-alike, dressed in civilian clothing.
