Casual Academy - Everyone Needs a Friend This time of year is a particularly lonely time for lonely people. This film aims to remind people of all of those who dont have friends or families to be with this Christmas. We hope it inspires just one person to pick up the phone, knock on their neighbours door or have a cup of tea with someone they know. Originally produced by the Casual Films Academy for the Manor Garden Centre in London. We thought it dealt with a cause thats wide enough for us to share further afield. The Casual Films Academy trains young people from the Inner London area in the basics of filmmaking. It does this by producing a film for a small local charity, so they can learn about the process in a real life situation. The look after everyone from from FGM victims to youth groups and older people to asylum seekers. Last year they celebrated their 100th anniversary.
