Catawba Island....In no particular order spending our days at Gem Beach chasing girls, and our nights at the Catawba Inn drinking beer and shooting pool. A lot of good times there. When we were young we would Play baseball every day from morning til dark. Beat the hell out of each orher then get up the next day to do it all again. Poor mans travel ball. Lol. I always enjoyed running around the island after work to go swimming at Gem Beach and struggling to run back home after. No better feeling than when I made it home And then there was spending the night at my grandmas in the cliffs so I could get up and go fishing off the pier the next morning ...sleeping on the beach...enjoying the sound of the waves and warm air. Hanging with Duane Norman and Eric Sandenbergh during the day... Going to Louies that night. most of all umpiring the gem of a game Rich Riley pitched from behind the plate. A true surgeon. Didnt miss a corner that night. :)
