Catholic Mass Reading Of The Day! Saturday 18 October 2014 St Luke Evangelist (Feast) 2 Tim 4:10-17 Psalm 144:10-13,17-18 Luke 10:1-9 “The Harvest is rich, but the workers are few. ......Courage! I am sending you like lambs among wolves. Set off without purse or bag or sandals.......The Kingdom of God has drawn near to you.” The disciples of Jesus are to announce the Gospel; they are to emphasize God’s predilection to the small and the humble, especially to the poor sinners, the necessity of adherence to Chirst and at the same time, of the responsibility to live the life of Christ. The Gospel of Jesus and the Acts, authored by St Luke, have precisely this message for all. On his feast day, therefore, we could accept the Gospel written by him so as to strengthen our faith and, though his intercession, come to write it as well in our own personal lives. If all Christians do it, the church shall be what Luke believes it to be, ‘ a people with one heart and one soul.’ Is not this what the world desires to see today in Christianity? ~ Reflection of the Holy Gospel according to Luke 10:1-9 youtu.be/YoH1JP37TUo?list=PLGjM_R2dzPT3iEehXWamVbotgZqB3JzqG
