Catholics do some wild things...countercultural devotions - TopicsExpress

Catholics do some wild things...countercultural devotions included, like veneration (not worship) of the saints. A first class relic of Saint John Paul II is coming to Boston next weekend! And you should not miss it!! This saint for OUR time influenced so many in life, imagine what he can do from Heaven as an intercessor for all our intentions, especially of those of the heart?! There are published reports about people who pilgrimaged to Rome when JP2 was alive with one ailment or another, and just standing in his presence - they were healed - of tumors, infertility and many types of illnesses. Standing in his presence during his Pontificate was miraculous. Not just for the physical, but all sorts of needs. Many of you know this and have experienced this in close proximity - others through the miracle of TV and radio or through his writings. The grace of holiness within him, was beyond evident. His voice too - always with instruction which was palpable, relatable and which presented the narrow road with a joy and playfulness that made you never want to refuse that difficult thing which Christ asked of you. With this conviction, I share with you the news that next weekend, Boston will be privileged to receive a first class relic of his Saint John Paul IIs blood. Make a pilgrimage to the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in the S. End of Boston June 21 or 22. It was after his death and funeral in Rome, that I decided to leave my TV career to work for the Diocese of Palm Beach. Although I knew this was Gods plan for my life for a time, I had some days where I second guessed whether or not I made a huge mistake to leave my heart in Boston, in more ways than one...to be separated from the geographic area which is etched in my ever fiber. Nevertheless, JP2s intercessory hand blessed me again and again in so may ways while I was in FL, and in Gods time, JP2 helped get me home, in the right time, in the right way - replanting me in ways beyond my expectations. Whatever impossibility you are praying for, let JP2 intercede! Blessed be God in His angels and in His saints! Go and get your miracle. The Pope cannot remain a prisoner of the Vatican...I want to go to everybody...from the nomads of the steppes to the monks and nuns in their convents...I want to cross the threshold of every home. -Saint JP2
