Cathy Bickham and I delivered OUR first donation box to one of our own LISD family members. Let me tell you, that had to have been the best feeling ever! Oh man...what a feeling!! If each of our group members would put back one or two items a week to place in our Donation Closet, we could help so many of our own with everyday needs that we take for granted each day. Cancer patients could use chapstick, antibacterial soaps, toothpaste and toothbrushes, bottled water, OTC pain relievers, laundry detergent, paper towels and toilet tissue, shampoo and conditioner, deodorants, light snacks....the list could go on an on. Believe me, each item is greatly appreciated to these people. It means one less thing they have to worry about trying to get out and purchase. Even the little trial size items come in handy when they have to travel back and forth to doctors and hospitals. COME ON LADIES AND GENTLEMEN....LETS GET THOSE ITEMS IN. You can drop them off at my office, or Alana Light Carpenter has so graciously volunteered to pick them up from you. There is NO excuse in not donating. I know personally, how rough times are right now, as I am in the only one in my family of 4 working at this time! Lets see the donations pour in before the holidays...Lets show Polk County what we are made of....Get those donations in!!!!
