Caught a smile!! :) Carter is 2lb 14oz!! But, it may not be accurate! Thats a drastic weight gain from 2lb 9oz. Theyre not worried about it being retained fluid, hes on 2 diuretics and he doesnt look puffy at all. They think its just his bed. Theyll weigh him again tonight. Hes doing a teeny tiny bit better today. His X-rays look slightly better but are still pretty bad. Hes still on 100% oxygen, sats 80-100% depending on how hes laying. He only likes his back and tummy so its higher when hes laying on them rather than on his side. Theyve weaned on the vent some and may wean again this afternoon depending on his blood gas. Hes on continuous feeds now because he cant handle bolus feeds. His stool output is on the high side so theyll be monitoring it every 12 hrs and if it continues theyll lower his feeds back to 27 calories.
