Caught something on Radio 4 that made me feel that someone has some sense; recommendation that people with regular outpatient appointments/ disabilities should be exempt from car parking charges etc. Two years ago , Joshua Reed dedicated an entire summer to trying to improve his lung function at great personal expense in both time and money. The outcome was an increased lung function from 30% to nearer 38% and promptly being stripped of his disability sticker and paying a fortune for parking at Papworth Hospital for all his appointments. Cystic fibrosis means that you have good days and periods of time when you cant get out and about and nobody even knows how you are unless they live with you or can be bothered to ask. Being able to park near your destination rather than not going out gives you much needed freedom you deserve. Rant over but I feel that after the battle with Bedford County Hall two years ago I am now rested enough to fight back. Alternatively he could eat his way to obesity and qualify that way. Grrrrrrr
