Cedar mill at Bhaderwah providing employment to 250 youths Prominent citizens expressed satisfaction over its working MOHD MAJID MALIK BHADERWAH,JULY07-- .In the year 2006 then Chief Minister Gulam Nabi Azad with the motive of generating employment opportunities and boosting the economy of Bhaderwah and Chenab valley urged upon the local people to establish their own small scale industries in the area so that Bhaderwah will also came on the industrial map .Union Health Minister Gulam Nabi Azad in the past as Chief Minister of the state and sitting MLA of Bhaderwah remarked that his dream is to make whole Bhaderwah as an industrial estate to utilize the natural resources of the area and for the generation of employment opportunities. Many local people at that time adopted the footsteps of Azad and started establishing industrial units and mills in Bhaderwah town and at the same time one Cedar mills was also established at Jai road which is in the Municipal limits of the town .It is pertinent to mention here that Cedar oil, also known as cedar wood oil, is an essential oil derived from the foliage, and sometimes the wood and roots, of various types of conifers, most in the pine or cypress botanical families. It has many uses in medicine,art, industry and perfumery, and while the characteristics of oils derived from various species may themselves vary, all have some degree of bactericidal and pesticidal effects. According to a government SRO Cedar mill will be established with in the boundary of Municipal limits which the owner of the Bhaderwah Cedar mill do . He also govt NOC certificate from Pollution control Borad of the state and also from the local people adjoining the area of Jai road where Cedar Mill has been established . People from the day of establishment of Cedar mill expressed satisfaction over the working of the unit as it brings Bhaderwah on the industrial map of the state and also for generating employment .As today more than 250 local unemployed youth are working in the Cedar unit of Bhaderwah and are running the daily affairs of their families .Not only this with the establishment of the Cedar mill in Bhaderwah from the last seven years no big forest fire incident surfaced in Bhaderwah range of forests as for the Cedar oil making forest wood raw materiel will be used like outdoor rotten or rotten deodar stamps .After the establishment of the Cedar mill at Bhaderwah people also started cultivation of forest rose and levender in forest area . But now some people with their self interest are making wrong propaganda against the Cedar mill for their self interest to only full fill their misdeeds . Local people of the Bhaderwah town has strongly criticized the wrong propaganda mongers who are hell bent to snatch the job of hundreds of youth who are working in the mill and has extended whole heart support to the project. Today at Bhaderwah , cedar oil is often used for its aromatic properties, especially in aromatherapy; it can also be used to renew the smell of natural cedar furniture. Cedar oil is used as an insect repellent, both directly applied to the skin and as an additive to sprays, candles and other products.edar mill as according to them it is boosting the economy of the whole Chenab valley .
