Celebrating his last Christmas, my great grandfather, Jerome Herbison, passed away last night. He celebrated his 71st anniversary a few months ago along with his dear wife Margaret. These two have meant a great deal to me throughout my life and Im proud to say that I not only knew this man but loved and was loved by him. Not many people can grow up knowing their great grandparents as well as our family has and we know he loved us very much. This is the speech he made at his last anniversary, where he began by referencing the Yankee baseball player Lou Gehrig who was dying of what later became known as Lou Gehrigs disease. My phone messed up the first part of the recording. Grandpa Herb peacefully passed last night with nothing but love and joy in his heart and I want to share his undying happiness with whomever wants it. I love you Grandpa Herb!
