Celebrating that our Pap has left all of his earthly physical struggles behind and has reunited with my Gram in Heaven this past Thursday afternoon. We sure will miss him, but are grateful for his 95 years of life well lived. He was the kind of grandparent that I pray I can be one day-- always there, for every choir performance, even travelling quite a way to be there, every church event, and every other even partially meaningful event Libby or I ever participated in. He taught us to work hard (while washing his car, or raking leaves or chestnuts out of their back yard) and to tell it like it is. No doubt, my Gram has been busy baking pies ever since she got the news that Pap was on his way. Ive got my money on Lemon Meringue with a great cup of hot tea to go with it. Keep our family in your prayers if you can this week as they are travelling in from all over the place to help celebrate this great man.
