Celtic are reportedly set to appoint Strømsgodset development manager Haakan Lunov as their new first team coach. Lunov will be linking up with former Strømsgodset manager Ronny Deila, who he worked under at the Norwegian side. Deila contacted Lunov last week and the 31-year-old will sign a contract with the Scottish champions on Monday, starting his new role with immediate effect. Lunov, said: “It will be sad to leave Strømsgodset. I’ve got great confidence in the club and it will not be easy to leave. But I can not say no to this offer. This is a fantastic opportunity.” Lunov graduated in Science and Football from John Moores University in Liverpool and worked with Everton’s youth academy at the time, mainly on video analysis. He joined Strømsgodset three years ago and the duo are now set to link up again at the Glasgow giants. Celtic were unavailable for comment.
