Weather Situation A high pressure system south of the Bight extends a ridge across Tasmania to the Tasman Sea. The high will drift eastwards and will be centred over the Tasman Sea on Thursday. Meanwhile, an inland trough stretching from New South Wales to northern Victoria is forecast to move westwards on Wednesday and will be near the South Australian border on Thursday. The trough will then move eastwards across Victoria on Friday, with a low pressure centre expected to form to the east of Tasmania Friday night. Forecast for the rest of Tuesday Partly cloudy. The chance of showers this morning, mainly in the north. Winds east to southeasterly 15 to 25 km/h increasing to 20 to 30 km/h in the evening. Daytime maximum temperatures in the low to mid 20s.
