Central Government to provide 992 crores to Maharashtra Onion farmers. This is our tax money. I feel like a helpless idiot who is paying 100/- per kg for onions when that money cant help the producers. The agriculture being completely tax free is another salt on our misery. Next government is planning to provide similar huge grants to 4 more onions producing states. Vote bank politics is destroying the country and is killing common public. If a farmer cannot earn enough after getting subsidies, and credits, support, then our agriculture system and his skills are not adequate. How long well continue to support inviable methods.
