Centrist. Meh. Being reasonable means being ignored. History lesson for the day: In the 1860 election there was a reasonable, pragmatic, centrist alternative to Abraham Lincoln, John C. Breckinridge, and Stephen Douglas. He proposed a reasonable , moderate compromise to kee pthe union together. His name was John Bell. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_election,_1860#Liberty_.28Union.29_Party_nomination He got 12% of the vote. Emotion sells over reason in democracies, back then and now. Its one of the weaknesses of democracies. Thats why the Founding Fathers added a senate, supreme court, and a presidency specifically to hold it in check.
