Certain individuals have criticized and complained to Sarah that their current and past efforts were not mentioned or praised at the opening of the new animal shelter. The opening of the event was the responsibility of the Belediye senior officials not Sarah. Some very nasty and spitefull comments wer made to Sarah including one persons nasty message. For some unknown reason they look upon Sarah as the person running the shelter. So lets make it perfectly clear. Sarah along with a handful of dedicated and regular helpers , are all unpaid VOLUNTEERS. Sarah and fellow volunteers have always personally thanked for any help received, donations, and finding forever homes. At present there are no official helpers from the Belediye. The Belediye operates and is responsible for the site, and is dependant on unpaid volunteers to care for the dogs. So it is very sad that a few so called dog lovers are trying to score brownie points by making malicious and spiteful gossip mostly directed at Sarah. Complaining and making malicious statements towards any volunteer is small minded , mostly made by persons who do not have a clue what is involved with the care of these animals. Its sad that these events are happening when all that matters is the welfare of the dogs. Grow up and remember this is all about caring for the animals.
