Certainly one of Sydneys most obscure convict built structures are these sandstone weirs dating to the mid 1820s on Williams Creek at Voyager Point. It is probable that this is a dam built as part of the Brisbane Water Mill by John Lucas using convict labourers in the years 1822-1823. The mill (owned by the firm of Cooper and Levey) appears to have operated until at least 1840. Possible ruins of the mill are still scattered around.
