Cervical cancer, mainly caused by Human Papillomavirus infection, is the leading cancer in Indian women and the second most common cancer in women worldwide. The current estimates indicate approximately 132,000 new cases diagnosed and 74,000 deaths annually in India, accounting to nearly 1/3rd of the global cervical cancer deaths. To educate women about cervical cancer, Aarogya Seva, in colloboration with Mahati Trust will hold a series of awareness programs in IT companies, colleges and housing societies.
