Chain Music Short Film - Official Trailer Award-winning video journalist, writer, director and producer Jadaun “Jay” Sweet will take viewers on an eye-opening journey behind the scenes of the ills of the music industry with the Nov. 12 debut of the short film “Chain Music” at the Challenger Learning Center’s IMAX Theatre in Tallahassee. “Chain Music” explores the idea of methods used by the music industry to schematically exploit Hip Hop music, its artists, and audiences as a means to control cultural behavior. “As a young African-American male who was afforded the opportunity to receive a college education this film hits home for me,” said Sweet, a Tallahassee resident. “Every young person does not have the opportunity to be enlightened and educated, and as such can easily be misguided. My vision is to use my work in film as a method to creatively provide insight and understanding to those most heavily impacted by the cultural manipulation that occurs in the music industry, which is arguably one of the top influencers of our youth.” Playground Solutionz founder Christopher “Play” Martin of the pioneering Hip Hop duo “Kid ‘n Play” serves as executive producer of “Chain Music.” Martin will join Sweet during the Nov. 12 debut for a Q&A session with audience members, as well as a meet and greet with the cast and crew. The film will be shown at 7:30 p.m. “The message in this film really has something for everyone, people from all walks of life,” Sweet said. “We want to educate, empower and inspire the masses. This is a people’s film. And while it is definitely entertaining and exciting, it also serves the purpose of providing our audiences with what is rightfully theirs – information.” “Chain Music” is the inaugural film of Take Heed Productions, an innovative production company focused on delivering a consistent uplifting message of enlightenment and inspiration about and for inner city and impoverished youth. Take Heed endeavors to use entertainment platforms to expose and redirect youth toward positive and meaningful opportunities. As a community-focused production company, Take Heed offers community members, businesses and organizations an opportunity to participate in its endeavors by supporting its films as production partners or participating in its Indiegogo 25K Fundraising Campaign, which will help secure funding for additional productions designed to positively impact youth and underserved communities. Current Take Heed partners include, Alien Astronauts, Backpack Beatz, The Character Center, ClearHouse Productions, and Soap Boy Products. Proceeds from the debut of “Chain Music” will be used to help fund the production of Take Heed’s first web series “Falling Black in Love.” For more information on the “Chain Music” debut, becoming a Take Heed Partner or upcoming film screenings, visit: ift.tt/1qkBYJN. _______ FOLLOW LIPSapp Hits56 Radio _______ FB: r-js/1rlggeQ / TW: r-js/1us3SdS / Listen to LIPSapp Hits56 Radio r-js/1dOIQ18 #thewho #beatles #elvis #jimihendrix #dylan
