SRINAGAR 08-07-13: Chairman, Hurriyat Conference , Syed Ali Geelani has felicitated Muslim Umah on advent of Ramadan month and said being a month for steadfastness and compassion and added during this month we should exhibit benevolence for poor and weaker sections of society. Syed Ali Geelani said Ramadan is best period that provides us supreme spiritual training and we should take maximum advantage to eradicate evils in the society. Monday ,Syed Ali Geelani said that it is foremost obligation for us to establish and shape a virtuous society based on high moral values and added that this target ,neither can be accessed or achieved through delivering speeches nor fulfilled through formation of regulations .Syed Ali Geelani said, adherence to Islamic rituals would pave way for formation of an ideal, perfect and dutiful society and in turn treat social and moral disorders that are posing threat to society. Syed Ali Geelani said that fasting lists top in Islamic rituals and it is remarkable by its unique advantages and added that it has a positive impact over the human psyche and its moral aspects are unique. Syed Ali Geelani said that according to modern medical science it is best treatment for many physical ailments. Syed Ali Geelani said that Ramadan is a month of patience and compassion and motivates to serve those needy in society. It is responsibility for administration based on Islamic jurisprudence to collect alms and donation in terms of Zakat and distribute among people who deserve and added however, we are in the clutches of a despotic system and added that there exists no such concept to serve this deserving class .Syed Ali Geelani said that we have to share the responsibility and come to the rescue of the deserving class . Syed Ali Geelani said, month of Ramadan is most relevant and appropriate for this objective. Syed Ali Geelani said Tehreek e Hurriyat Jammu Kashmir was incepted for carrying the freedom struggle and added its top priority is to provide assistance to affected families and takes an active role in social work. Syed Ali Geelani said, for this purpose Bait-ul –mall committees have been established which collects donations from well-wishers and reach to these deserving and affected people. Syed Ali Geelani said that this work is carried out in an organized manner and job has been entrusted to trustworthy and honest personals. While urging people of Jammu and Kashmir to offer and deposit their donations with Tehreek e Hurriyat and have faith that this would be spent for assigned target and it will be delivered to the people who truly deserve it added Syed Ali Geelani. Syed Ali Geelani said that Ramadan is the month of forgiveness and we pray that Allah help us to honor this blessed month and make this month a source for forgiveness, salvation and freedom.
