Chakrasana for day 16 of #MySoreAsana Make sure you have Plow in your practice, that your neck is also comfortable! If not, practice what I demonstrate at the very beginning, taking the legs back, even if you cant touch the ground with your feet, this will get you comfortable in this pose and also is a gentle massage for your back and neck. Start off laying flat on your back, place the hands behind your shoulders, fingertips facing towards you, like you would while going up into wheel. Then take your knees in or leave them out straight and lift them up and Iver to rock back. Then if your neck still feels comfortable rock a little bit back and forth. Then when youre comfortable lift your toes up on your last rock to send your feet back and lift up with your arms allowing your head to come through, coming to plank pose or Chaturanga. Placement of the hands is important, if you place your hands too close to your shoulders, when you come up after the jump youll be on your elbows. So make sure you play with what works for you :) I have my arms in line just above my ears. Be safe and remember to go slow if you know you have back or neck pain/injury Tomorrow is by @brianmilleryoga then @tinabock @carsonclaycalhoun and back to me :) Tag is and our sponsors!
