★ Challenges & Barriers ★ You see alot of people and trainers these days talking about how easy fitness, getting in shape or changing your lifestyle and i personally think it puts people off especially those starting out. It takes effort, motivation and a desire to succeed and achieve your short & long term goals. It doesnt come easy its earned. If it was easy then everybody would be doing it!! When you start off lots of barriers & challenges can get in the way! A drop in motivation, change in work hours hindering your training time, family or injuries & niggles when you start out. Biggest piece of advice is when these challenges arise, remember why you started out in the first place. Think about them goals and why you wanted to achieve them. Think about how you can get around a problem, maybe a change in training time if yoi cant make evenings train in the morning or adjust your program to keep things fresh & prevent it going stale. If you have an injury or niggle speak to a trainer and work around it and adapt things. Ive found down the years people give up at the start when obstacles arise! You maybe miss a week of training due to work, or illness / injury or have a bad day or week of eating and find yourselves falling off the wagon and giving in. But throwing away many weeks of good hardwork because you missed a week or so of training is silly, as is throwing in the towel and pigging out on crap for a week all because you ate one bad meal is too. When you hit a problem or barrier, sit down think of why you started out, think of the improvements you have made and ask do you want to throw that away. Get motivated, we all hit problems its how we deal & cope with them which determines the final outcome. If your car got a puncture on the way to work...You wouldnt get out and slash your remaining 3 tyres! Think of that in relation to your goals and stay on track. Keep your eyes on the finish line, not on the goings on around you #TeamFF
