Chamber News Feed: Tewksbury, NJ: The Tewksbury Trail Association (TTA) has again partnered with the Tewksbury Historical Society to organize a barn tour on Sunday, July 21. The popular barn tour showcases five or six local barns that are a mix of old and new, large and small barns. A mapped route directs participants through Tewksbury’s scenic roads as they navigate from barn to barn. The tour takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine. Cost is $20 a person, or $5 a child (age 12 and under). Forms to order tickets for the Barn Tour are available on the Tewksbury Historical Society website, tewksburyhistory.net. Tickets will not be mailed. People can pick up tickets on July 21 at Christie Hoffman Farm, 108 Fairmount Road West (Route 512). The TTA continues to clear trails that were affected by super storm Sandy. The network of trails is extensive and the clearing team has been chipping away at the damage in order to repair the trail system.The main focus has been on trails that were completely blocked by downed trees and also on clearing the course that will be used for the annual Trail Pace later this year. The 18th annual Tewksbury Trail Pace has been set for Sunday, Sept. 15, at Christie Hoffman Farm Park. The Pace is the main fundraiser for the TTA. An open timed event, the Trail Pace takes horses and riders over a 5 to 9 mile marked course of fields, hills, streams, some rugged terrain and optional jumps. A portion of proceeds from the Pace are traditionally used to groom and maintain the trail system. Some Pace proceeds will also be donated to several local worthy nonprofit organizations that will be named later this year. Your Bernards Township Regional Chamber of Commerce Works for You!
