Chanakya Daily current Affairs 08/03/2014 A Beijing-bound Malaysian Airlines plane that went missing with 239 people on board, including five Indians, has crashed into the sea, off Vietnams southern Phu Quoc Island. A Vietnamese newspaper quoted a Navy Official as saying that the Boeing 777-200 Flight MH370 with 227 passengers and 12 crew members on board crashed 250 kilometres off the coast of Tho Chu island. A fresh passengers list issued by the airline said that five Indians were among the passengers on board the aircraft, correcting its previous account in which Indians were not mentioned. The fresh list of passengers issued by the airline mentions people of 14 nationalities including 152 Chinese, 38 Malaysians and five Indians. There is however no confirmation about the report from the Malaysian authorities. The plane disappeared last night somewhere over South China Sea while enroute to Beijing from Kuala Lumpur. chanakyaiasacademy.org/dailycurrentaffair.aspx
