Chance is a gorgeous, happy guy who will die tomorrow because he didnt like his toy and rawhide taken from him by a plastic hand. If you can help him by adopting or fostering him, please contact New Hope rescues NOW. A volunteer writes: Chance is a compact and very good looking dog. Vanilla ice cream on a light chestnut cone. Delicious! Chance looks a little wary when I pop up at his door. Knock, knock... Who is there? A friend who comes to take you out. Wanna play? Chance is ready in a sec. He walks beautifully on the leash and eliminates on the way. His tail is high . He does a lot of sniffing around, licking and marking a little his territory . When a dog or two come to check our pen, Chance meets him or her confidently but with no growl or bark even if the other pooch is not the most friendly. He is dominant but a good boy. Chance seems to like me and I like him too! He jumps on the bench next to me, sits and submits himself to caresses. Even though he does not roll on his back, I really think that Chance appreciates being petted. Chance loves to play ball. He positions himself right away when he sees I am ready to throw it. He runs, jumps in the air, catches it and plays with it for a long time until I throw another ball. I think Chance would love to keep it but gives it back as I insist gently. I enjoy my time with Chance who was relinquished into our care as his family was moving. He lived in peace with children and teens but is said to be wary of strangers. He would probably prefer female dogs and women owners over their male counterparts... What can I say? We all have our preferences, and may have our reasons... If Chance is given a chance, he probably would do better as a single dog or share his life with a submissive dog or a female. I also bet that a good man could also be to Chances like. Last night, when I passed in front of Chances kennel, he got up right away and licked my hand through the bars... Chance is at the Manhattan Care Center, hoping for the best. https://facebook/photo.php?fbid=764299556916259&set=a.611290788883804.1073741851.152876678058553&type=3&permPage=1
