The zipper manufacturers utilized have always been high quailty producers, and as such, the zipper mechansims found on authentic Chanel should always be high quality. Also note that the shape of the top center of the mechanism is a flat top. [B] Image B is of the same Lampo style, but this mechanism is titled foreword allowing you to see the markings on the tip of the flat top. All of these details are important, and the more subtle the detail, the more greater the likelyhood that the counterfeiter will have missed the specific detail. THerefore, identifying the subtle details are often times the most accurate method of spotting fake zipper mechanisms, (this subtle-detail tactic naturally applies to the entire scope of apparell items). [C] This Lampo mechanism has has a matte finish (un-polished) and differing design than ezamples A and B. Here we find two notches at the bottom right side of zipper with a dividing line in the center of the baseline. The top of zipper piece also has triangular shape pointing down at the logo. This font is different from examples A & B, using a simple block text. [D] This example has details from examples A, B,and C. It has the same design angle pointing down at the logo as in C, but this zipper has the logo style of A & B. This piece has three notches at the bottom left (with no divider). However, zipper D has a detail that differs from all previous examples: the top has a rounded shape, (rather than a sqaured notch). [E] This example looks much likd A & B. The difference in this case is that at the bottom it has three notches instead of one. YKK zipper: Another lesser utilized zipper brand that will found on select items is the YKK zipper. This brand can be idenfied by the YKK logo that is stamped into the mechanism. When this brand is used, it is may generally be found on the smaller pocket areas on the handbag. EP zippers: This brand is also utilized on Chanel items, generally in the same pocket or pouch-like areas on the handbag, (none of these areas are set in stone, rather examples of where the most likely places that these stamps might be found). Chanel logo: Concerning many of the contermporary Chanel models and styles, Chanel zippers may also have their own information on the zipper such as: Chanel Paris.
