Change? People cant change... You here that so often that you believe it... Well I dont, I believe people can change, my dad wasnt always who he is today, 10 years ago I wouldnt have left my new born baby with him... But today I would, I believed for so long he would never change, and he surprised me, things werent always great between us to say the least... He was tough on me I was the oldest.. He expected perfection to do right to obey the rules and yet I a curious boundaries testing rebel I was difficult but it wasnt always on purpose I just always seemed to find myself in trouble....if he told me not to guess what I did... But he was also a hard worker.. Who drank a lot little did I understand why( till now raising a family is tough and you need a way to escape well that was his, and mine for awhile) my dad taught me good things and bad... But most of all he showed me people can change, they can repair relationships theyve destroyed as along as both people are open to it... And at first when he stopped drinking I didnt know how to handle the tears hed shed or the constant I love yous and Im sorrys but as the years have past things are better now then ever, my kids love him to death hell my son thinks hes the greatest man/person to ever be on this earth.. Thats his best bud... If dad can change.. So can I so can anyone... I love my dad and thank him for teaching me that lesson, took awhile to sink in....
