Change in District Calendar The week of October 7 is the official, mandated “Count Week” for all public schools in Ohio. It is also the week of Fall OAA testing. Therefore, all Xenia School students will be in session on October 7, October 8, October 9, October 10, and October 11. “Count Week” is the week in which the state of Ohio determines the per-pupil state funding for the Xenia Community Schools. State funding provides approximately 48% of the dollars for our classrooms. It is imperative that all students attend school each and every day during count week. The WOEA Day that was scheduled for October 11, 2013 has been rescheduled. WOEA Day will now be on October 14, 2013 and there will be no school for students. The remainder of staff development time for the Xenia Teachers and Staff will occur on Monday, November 4, 2013 and during two-hour delay sessions. There will be no school for students on November 4, 2013. Two-hour delay sessions will be announced at a later time.
