Chaos and Christmas. Mark 5:38-39 They arrived at Jairus house, where Jesus saw the confusion and heard all the loud crying and wailing. 39 He went in and said to them, “Why all this confusion? Why are you crying? The child is not dead—she is only sleeping!” Most people wish for Peace and goodwill during Christmas. But sadly Peace and goodwill is the last thing that is reported around the world. Chaos is in charge, and people do not know what to do. Jairus had a sick daughter. She was very ill. She could die. She did die. Imagine the chaos, confusion, and heartbreak in the home of Jairus. IS YOUR HOME, FAMILY, AND LIFE IN CHAOS due to sickness, divorce, or death of a loved one? You must be hoping this Christmas will bring you peace. BUT REMEMBER CHRISTMAS DOES NOT BRING YOU PEACE. ONLY JESUS CHRIST BRINGS YOU PEACE. Isaiah 9:6 “A child is born to us! A son is given to us! And he will be our ruler. He will be called, “Wonderful[a] Counselor,” “Mighty God,” “Eternal Father,” “Prince of Peace.” John 16:33 “I have told you this so that you will have peace by being united to me. The world will make you suffer. But be brave! I have defeated the world!” IS YOUR HOME, FAMILY, AND LIFE IN CHAOS? IF YES, REPENT AND BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST! Mark 1:15 “The right time has come,” he said, “and the Kingdom of God is near! Turn away from your sins and believe the Good News!” WHY MUST WE REPENT? BECAUSE OF SIN! AND ALL HAVE SINNED! (Romans 3: 23) “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” AND THE REWARD OF SIN IS DEATH “ETERNAL DEATH” Romans 6: 23 “For the wages of sin is death,…” But JESUS IS GOD’s ATONEMENT FOR OUR SIN! 1 John 2:2 “He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.” 1 Peter 2:24 “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” Only through JESUS CHRIST CAN WE receive forgiveness for our SIN! REPENT FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SIN Don’t be too hard on yourself if you know that your past has caused a lot of pain for you and loved ones just bring it before JESUS CHRIST IN PRAYER! Just tell JESUS WHAT YOU HAVE DONE OF WHICH YOU ARE NOT PROUD OF! This is CONFESSION OF SIN! 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” ASK JESUS TO WIPE AWAY YOUR PAINFULL PAST, AND GIVE YOU HOPE FOR A NEW LIFE, FUTURE AND NEW DIRECTION! THE DIRECTION HOME! That is REPENTANCE! WHY MUST WE BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST AS OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR? For there is no one in history who has claimed to be the savior of humankind but JESUS CHRIST! John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” No religious leader, preacher or saint can save mankind but only JESUS CHRIST! And in his own words JESUS says, Luke 19:10 “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” John 3:17 “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” JESUS DECLARES THAT GOD HIS FATHER HAS SENT HIM TO SAVE YOU AND ME! AND THAT WHO EVER BELIEVES IN HIM IS WELCOMED TO GODS KINGDOM! BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST TO BE SAVED ACCEPT JESUS TO BE THE LORD AND SAVIOUR OF YOUR LIFE! This is what it means to BELIEVE IN THE GOSPEL. ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST, YOU INHERIT ETERNAL LIFE! YOU BECOME A CHILD OF GOD. THE HEAVENLY FATHER WILL WELCOME YOU TO HIS HEAVENLY KINGDOM! You can invite JESUS BY PRAYING THE FOLLOWING PRAYER! (GENUINELY FROM THE VERY BOTTOM OF YOUR HEART) “Lord Jesus I need you. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Saviour and Lord. Thank You for the forgiveness of my sins. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be.” Amen. FOR PEACE, REPENT AND BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST!!
