Chaplains Log... 6th May 2014 I am delighted to hear that Canon Robert Innes (Chaplain at Holy Trinity Brussels) is to become the next Bishop in Europe. He has become a good friend and colleague in my time in Belgium and I look forward to continue working with him closely in the future. He and Helen will continue to live in Brussels. So, there is likely to be greater emphasis on mission in north western Europe. In fact, Robert will be with us on this Saturday morning and lead our opening worship as we welcome John Preston. Our Stewardship morning should be excellent and I do hope you can join us 9.30-12.30 in the Church Centre. Come and congratulate Bishop Innes too! As I write I am aware that we are planning & trying various new initiatives.....services in Dutch; a messy church taster; the new 6:33 evening service and worship for children in the Tintin Hall. These are experiments as we try to discern Gods will and way forward.....please pray that we would know what is right for us to put our energies into! And many thanks for all who took part in the service of Peace, Reconciliation, Healing & Wholeness. Yes, it was rather long for folk with small children...but it did seem to help us move forward together with each other in Gods love and presence. I am told that many people feel it was very timely and a real blessing! Have a lovely week as you go deeper with God, whatever is going on for you at the moment! With my prayers for our community life! Simon
