Chaplain’s Comments for February. We sometimes associate the month of February with love, being that Valentine’s day is in February. It is hard to define love, but even more difficult to define the love of God. A present day popular gospel song has one line that says “He knew me, yet he loved me” . God knows all our faults, and if we are a believer he knows us. He knows our past and present yet He still loves us. Those who were not believers were told “Depart from me I never knew you”. Someone else coined the phrase, “no God, no peace;………Know God, Know peace”. And then there are the love letters the Lord has given us, the Scriptures (Word of God). Most of all, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. It the Lord seems more distant in your life than He once was, who moved, you or Him?
