Chapter 2 How do you do it? The number one question Im asked is How do you do it? All the kids, charity, writing, Facebook, etc… I dont. I mean, I do but I dont do it well. Ive been known to ignore everything in order to focus on one thing, and its usually the not whats most important. Im a scatter brain. I have the most random abilities and never the ones I need when I need them. My heart has not always been in it. For the longest time my heart was broken, it didnt work right and when your heart doesnt work, your life isnt as good as it should be. I made mistakes but when I made them, I started to see who I wanted to be. When I was broken, I could see myself better than ever. I noticed there were things I missed and when I started putting my pieces back together again there were some I had to leave behind and then there were some new ones I had to create. We hear and read so much about how to get better from the mental state we are in, we can take medication, mediate, breath differently and inspire our soul with motivational posters. But…what if you told yourself that fixing yourself can come later? What if you should realize first, that you arent alone? What if we embrace the sadness, the mistakes and the pain and say This is who I am and we learn to love ourselves for that? Saying you dont know yourself is okay because as soon as we get to know ourselves we will probably change. We can create a new life and fix the old one but what happens if the new one has a glitch too? So how do I do it? I have nervous breakdowns, anxiety attacks, depressive states of bed ridden blues and I just wait for it to go away and then I do as much as I can when Im feeling better. True Story.
