Chapter 9 It was nearly one am when First Aid had finally caught up with the rest of the Autobots. First Aid had fallen behind due to the fact that he could no longer transform into vehicle mode. Ratchet and Optimus Prime were so very pleased to see First Aid catch up to them. First Aid felt drained, when he arrived. Ratchet quickly gave First Aid some much needed energon. First Aid quickly consumed it. You should go and shut down for a while, First Aid. We will remain here for a couple of days. So that everyone can recover. We traveled a very long way last night. said Optimus Prime. Optimus, I do realize that I am the one who is holding everyone back. You should go on without me. As we both know the longer we remain out in the open, the higher the chances of the Decepticons finding us. replied First Aid. That is nonsense First Aid. I know for a fact that you can make it. Heck we have a lot of wounded, and they too in a way are slowing us down, so it aint just you. So get rid of that idea, my friend. Because if Optimus leaves you behind, he will have to leave me behind. As I will not lose my assistant chief medical officer. lectured Ratchet. Ratchet is correct, First Aid. And besides we all need to rest. We can not keep pushing the humans. In the morning I am going to send some scouts to plot our course for the next length of the journey. The sooner we can permanently establish a new base the better. said Optimus Prime. That would go a whole lot faster, if you leave me behind Optimus. I am no good to the Autobots, not without my T-Cog, Im slowing you down, and not only that, if the Decepticons attacked right now, I wouldnt be able to fire or fight them. replied First Aid. We are not going to leave you behind, First Aid. Now rest. That is an order. said Optimus Prime. I agree with Optimus, go power down for a while. And please get rid of the idea that you are a burden, because you are not. Do you understand me, First Aid? asked Ratchet. First Aid nodded. First Aid power down for a while, however he still didnt get rid of the idea. So he planned, that if Optimus Prime wasnt going to do the logical cause of action and leave him behind. He will make them. He planned to run away, and to leave Optimus Prime and the Autobots no choice but to leave him behind, for the safety of the humans. He was well aware that being left behind was a certain death sentence, but what was the point of him living when he was suffering a server disability. Thats what First Aid was constantly thinking. In the morning First Aid powered up, and quietly grabbed some energon, and when everyone was busy on other things, he walked out of the base. A couple of hours later, Ratchet realized that First Aid was missing. He quickly reported it to Optimus Prime. Optimus Prime wasted no time, he arrange a search party for First Aid. All the flyers went off in search of their friend. This was extremely dangerous flying around in broad daylight, with the area crawling with Decepticons. But they were determine to locate First Aid no matter what. Before he got himself captured or killed. They searched for him in the air, and not long afterwards they spotted First Aid he was walking in the canyon floor. The Arealbots landed and approached First Aid. First Aid saw them and said, I am not going back guys. You have to let me go. This is my choice. I am holding everyone back, and I only endanger you all, if I remain. I dont want to have the deaths of my friends on my conscience. Dont say that First Aid. Come on back to base. And besides Ratchet is far crankier without you. So please for the sake of our sanity, come back with us. replied Silverbolt. First Aid laugh and said, He will calm down, I promise. However I am not returning. Tell them that you found me dead, and that way I can get left behind and you guys wont receive any repercussions of this. While Silverbolt and the Aeralbots got First Aid distracted. Drift very quietly snuck up behind First Aid and knocked him out. They very quickly returned to base with First Aid. Optimus Prime got Rung to see First Aid as soon as he wakes. Ratchet was feeling very angry towards First Aid, he just couldnt believe how stupid his friend could be.
