Charity clothes collection bags appear to be on the increase - TopicsExpress

Charity clothes collection bags appear to be on the increase through our letter boxes recently. Without going into too much detail I would like you Deal people to take note of this photo. It is of a selection of some items discovered as part of an investigation that I was involved with into a fraudulent operation. The charities named on the bags do appear boat fide and there is evidence that some do actually receive some donations, HOWEVER: A vast majority of donations are sent to central collection points and money collected is spent on the running costs (dubious) of the organisers. They state that a percentage of NETT profits go to the charities, they tend to break even or even run at a list to circumvent making those donations! Many of the charities simply DO NOT EXIST. The people brought in [sic] to do the doorstepping have their passports looked after and they can end up living in squalid conditions with no hope of escape from their gang masters. Politics on immigration law flouting aside, this is a clear abuse if people and tantamount to people trafficking. Please stick to charities who you recognise and bear in mind that it is common for ....global or similar to be added to confuse the householder. For the curious dont be shy in using Google to find out more about any particular charity and be assured that the authorities May be grateful to you for helping to track down these scam schemes: Descriptions, vehicle registrations etc. Thanks for your time.
