Charleston Daily Mail | Referendum concerns Fayette leaders charlestondailymail The BSA have taken and taken and taken from the county and attempted to give Mount Hope the royal work-over by cajoling MtH to annex the Summitt property when they knew full well that MtH was completely unprepared to administer such an enormous piece of property and completely unprepared to deal with a highly funded, slick, well lawyered, well connected to the coal industry, discriminatory organization. Of all the hundreds of not for profit organizations in WV, this referendum only gives privilege to the BSA and not to any of the many, long time civic minded churches which are completely integrated into our WV communities. The caveats for protecting local businesses are a ruse. Any business invoking such a rules would have to lawyer up and fight with the BSA, Steptoe and Johnson and coal industry. Fayette county has been taken to the cleaners by the BSA and the coal and land barons of Raleigh/Beckley. The BSA/Summitt has been disingenuous and this referendum is a further disaster for Fayette County and the taxpayers of all of West Virginia. Vote no on this BSA referendum. Tell your friends. charlestondailymail/article/20140903/DM0104/140909710/1420
