Charlottes CRC gathering on her last day at the Nez Perce Tribal Enterprises as Hotel Director for 6 years. I am extremely proud of my baby sister for ALL the crap she had to deal with but stay professional and with a smile on her face. Working in finance there myself, I seen the BS she put up with, from customers, tribal members & other managers. Going by the HR & finance manual is priority but hard when not everyone follows it. There are a few managers/employees that do awesome tho, dont get me wrong.....She had awesome employees that would smile, greet you EVERY morning, clean windows, accommodate your every need, and stand on T-e-a-m-w-o-r-k... She would come to my office to get a breather, maybe shed a tear once in a great while, but she kept pushing as a professional Indian woman would, cause of what blood flows thru her veins. She dealt with a lot in her personal life after getting her Bachelors degree in Business Management but kept pushing for her kids. Some good educated indian people have all left, n thats sad cause every single tribal student getting a degree....THAT is always their goal, to work for your own tribe! She began to put her job on the same level as her 3 beautiful kids, and no mother should have to do that. She will now be working for Washington State University (some Indian program, lol) and be able to get her Masters if she likes at a very minimal cost. She has helped NUMEROUS Indian students to get an education, including myself, Naomi Wood, Cedric Ellenwood, Moses Yellowrobe, Sonny Covers Up, and many employees who worked for her. She is the most selfless person I know....cause she was taught that by our Grandparents who she took care of at a young age. Stepping outside her being my sister, she is tough but a powerful loving Indian woman. (I woulda got fired myself cause she is so efficient) i hope no one is offended by my words, but it is my thoughts n feelings n i am glad she is moving UPward, n hope the best for the casino & lodge. I love you baby girl, our whole family is extremely proud of your many accomplishments n hurdles you leaped, and Hattie, Mister & Tayvons happiness & education are what is top priority, including Wade Anderson. God is blessing your new chapter Monday, you will make us proud! Love you...
