Freshman Fundamentals Camp - July 28-31 - 9:00am-3:00pm ^^Required for all leadership and new marchers/incoming members^^ Full Band Camp - August 4-7 - 9:00-5:00pm ^^Required for all members^^ General Info: 1. No student will be allowed to leave camp once at camp except in the case of an emergency and with the permission of the band director. 2. Parents, friends, former members, etc. are asked not to visit during the camp until the performance on August 7, unless there is an emergency. 3. All Camp and Band rules are addition to any rules set forth by the Hillsborough County School Board and Chamberlain High School. 4. Examine the entire schedule and pay special attention to reporting times. In other words, be early! 5. A daily practice routine should begin now. Music is the reason why we do this. Please come prepared to rehearse music. We will spend a great deal of time this year rehearsing music. 6. Be ready for the heat! Band camp is not the place to start a diet. The temperatures are extremely hot and humid. A lot of our rehearsals take place outside so drink plenty of water, bring sunscreen, and rest during the breaks given to you. One last thing.... NO SWEAT, NO PRIDE 7. Time is precious so please be on time (early) to all rehearsals. There is a lot to be done in a little amount of time. 8. Wear comfortable tennis/athletic shoes and socks at all times!!! 9. Wear sun screen and a hat at all times when outside. Students are expected to have their own water bottle during band camp for the shorter breaks given during the day.
