Being blessed with perfect weather we planned a whole day around the Edinburgh Bus tours and utilised the Grand 24 ticket at £18 (well at only £4 more than a single bus ticket, why wouldn’t you !) and they did not let us down. Firstly we used the World Heritage bus from St Andrews Square to get to the Botanic Gardens early in the morning, then the Majestic tour to get out to The Royal Yacht Britannia and back in town for late afternoon. Then the Green Tour bus for an early evening circular tour of the Old and New Towns with a very humorous real guide. And then finally the Red bus in the later evening to see Edinburgh as the light fades, and to be dropped off near the Grassmarket for a few evening pints...
