Check out this cutie! Her owners called frantic after adopting her from the local shelter last month. They were told she was good with other dogs. But after a few weeks of horrible leash reactivity they thought she was dog aggressive. At the pet store and vet office they were embarrassed and they had stopped walking her because they were afraid. Turns out Shelby is of that smaller percentage of leash reactive dogs that really just want to play and has a ton of frustration. Unfortunately I didnt film her entrance to todays lesson when she had to walk by two dogs that were exiting. It was some pretty intense barking, growling and lunging. Shelby actually has pretty good dog skills but was just throwing huge frustration fits. After some dog socializing we moved her to a Gentle Leader. Owners went home much happier!
