Check this out! Daniel 10:15-18 While he was saying these words to me, I turned my face toward the ground and was speechless. Suddenly one with human likeness touched my lips. I opened my mouth and said to the one standing in front of me, My lord, because of the vision, I am overwhelmed and powerless. How can someone like me, your servant, speak with someone like you, my lord? Now I have no strength, and there is no breath in me. Then the one with human likeness touched me again and strengthened me. He said, dont be afraid, you who are treasured by God. Peace to you; be very strong! WOW! Does that not blow your mind!? Even further, now as it says in Hebrews 4:16, let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us at the proper time. Daniel had an awe-factor about God. It is possible that our ability to approach in boldness has also affected the gratefulness we should have in being able to approach boldly? What if we all started off UNABLE to approach boldly, and one day that all changed? Would that not be the most amazing thing!? This morning I am so grateful not only for the gift of salvation, but also for the fact that this relationship with God is no acquaintance-ship. We are in the fold of God. We are in the family. He is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of Kings, and the Lord of lords, the only One who has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom none of mankind has seen or can see, to whom be honor and eternal might (1 Timothy 6:15b-16) talking about Christ, the Messiah. It is this High Priest as Hebrews puts it that has been tested, Jesus the Son of God who is about to sympathize with our weaknesses as one tested in every way as we are, yet without sin (Hebrews 4:15). THIS is if to suggest that we, in our weaknesses AND imperfections can approach BOLDLY and receive mercy and grace. This reminds me of the quote Ive heard people like Stephen Furtick and Perry Noble say a lot If it aint good news, it aint the gospel. How GOOOOOD is this news! and this is only a few verses. This only a portion of the good news of the gospel!
