Cheese Platter - $3,200 Gourmet cheese doesn’t come cheap, but this cheese plate takes the traditional hors d’ oeuvre to a whole new level. Unveiled in September at the Frome Cheese and Agricultural Show in Somerset, England, it includes eight difference varieties from around the world: A Serbian donkey cheese (yes, we said donkey), goat cheese aged inside brown chestnut leaves, cheddar sprinkled with gold specs and white French truffles, a cheese made from sheep and crafted by Benedictine monks in the Basque region, a French Brie infused with truffles (that goes for $42 per pound), and more. It’s also served on a silver tray worth about $965. A gourmet cheese served on a mere silver tray that robs you sudden death.
