Chef Devonne working with our grade 6 students on dishes which were eaten in times of war. The menu is entirely vegetarian to reflect the lack of meat eating during the war. The students made chili from canned beans and vegetables to gain an understanding of working with non-perishables. They also made Anzac cookies (Australia New Zealand Army Corps), just as the families of Australian and New Zealander soldiers used to bake to send to their soldiers on the front.
