Chelsea always known for signing big names failed to win a major trophy in their first fifty years. But Arsenal had a longer 9years Its funny that Chelsea after redeveloping Stamford bridge in the early 70s, the club went bek into extinction principally because of the debt. Relegated back in the second division they only revived bek after a decade in the mid 80s winning the division 2, to earn a place in the top flight. Now Arsenal did not rebuild Highbury, it bought a new stadium EMIRATES altogether, it went 9years without winning a major trophy but no no no never was relegated, was always one of the biggest 4 clubs in England. Its ridiculous how people to give credit to Wenger for such an establishment. In part of that years of debt settlement, arsenal would still give clubs a good run for their title but falter at the end because of the modern day era that is highly characterised by high spending billionares. Arsenal had no money to compete on the transfer market or on wages, so we had to rely on a very good scouting ability. Wenger trhived on that, surely to other clubs like Chelsea and City it is ridiculous to them that Arsenals record signing before Ozil was 17mill pounds. Its understandable for laymen and some fans not to understand this, but its pathetic to find a manager of a club found wanting in such knowledge. #gunnermickblogger
