"Chelsea Football Club and Bayer Leverkusen have reached an agreement for the transfer of Andre Schurrle," read a statement on Chelsea’s website. The 22-year old will discuss personal terms before undergoing a medical with the Blues as he becomes Jose Mourinho’s first signing since the Special One’s return to London. Schurrle scored 11 goals in 34 matches for Leverkusen last season, helping the German side finish third in the league and ensure automatic qualification for the Champions League. The dynamic winger is comfortable playing on either the left or right, as well as a forward man down the middle, thus making him a perfect acquisition for Chelsea’s flowing attack.
