The Portuguese identified the deficiencies in his team and Chelsea forked out money to make the necessary repairs, from Nemanja Matic in January to Cesc Fàbregas and Diego Costa in the summer. No waste: not of money, not of time. Sometimes Mourinho makes it look easy. And an alarming number of others are making it look very hard.
