Chelsea striker could be way out in summer 09 Jun 2013. Chelsea striker Demba Ba, who joined the club in the January transfer window last season find himself in an awkward position where he could face a surprise exit under Jose Mourinho’s second coming at Stamford Bridge. The London club have identified the strike department as their central weakness and new manager Mourinho wants to bolster that position by replacing the existing players with quality stars from Europe. The club has been in talks with Napoli’s goal-machine Edinson Cavani while German star Andre Schurrle is also thought to be on the high in the Portuguese’s wish list. And if the transfer rumours are believed to be true then Chelsea are also in the hunt for Stevan Jovetic and Hulk while Romelu Lukaku, who spent the last season on loan at West Brom has been promised regular chances in the coming season. The club is preparing a mass exodus with £50m striker Fernando Torres all set to leave and according to reports from The Metro Ba who scored only two Premier League goals since he joined from Newcastle could well become an early casualty in Mourinho’s second era at Chelsea. While Torres has been a huge flop at the club and Chelsea are probably making the right decision in selling him, but should they give sufficient time to Ba before taking a decision
