Chemical peeling with mandelic acid, when compared with glycolic - TopicsExpress

Chemical peeling with mandelic acid, when compared with glycolic acid peels, produced less erythema (redness), and was less likely to result in crusting, flaking or other adverse effects on the epidermis. The onset of erythema is more predictable and gradual, and there is less likelihood that "hotspots" will develop in dry areas of the face.Repeated peeling is useful for treating acne, melasma, lentigenes, and fine photoaging damage (e.g., wrinkles, dullness, skin texture changes).
